Provided advisory services to Deloitte South Africa, one of the Global “Big Four” auditing and accounting firms on numerous transactions where they where assessing strategic acquisitions and required independent valuations.

Advised the shareholders of MySchool, a community based fund raising systems, on the disposal of the remainder of the business to its strategic shareholder, Woolworths – a major retail chain in the South African market.

Advised the management team of the Metsep group in pursuing a management buyout of the business. Metsep regenerates waste hydrochloric acid for customers in the steel industry. The management buyout was successfully concluded and funding was raised from a leading SA private equity player.

Advised IMS Holdings on the disposal of one of their subsidiaries IMS-Cape to Zest Electric Motors. IMS-Cape manufactures large generator sets and has the agency for Yanmar marine diesel motors.

Advised Mowana Investments, a BEE investment company, on numerous acquisitions including, Stefanutti & Bressan, at that stage one of the largest privately owned construction companies in Southern Africa.

Advised Call Force in the sale of controlling stake to Dialogue Holdings.

Advised Bunker Hills Consortium in the acquisition of a controlling interest in Holcim South Africa, now AfriSam in a ground breaking BEE transaction with the Public Investment Corporation investing R6 billion.

Advised AfriSam in the refinance of Euro denominated PIK debt into ZAR in a transaction whereby we saved the client over ZAR1billion on the refinance of R4,5 billion of debt.

Advised Spero Group on the disposal of their business.
